Emissions affecting air quality

Air pollution is a major environmental risk to health around the world, especially in locations where there are high levels of pollutants

Local air pollution and environmental impacts such as acid rain can arise from the combustion of fossil fuels, which produce gases such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and Carbon oxides (COx).

Some emissions can react in the presence of sunlight to form secondary pollutants, leading to an increase in ground level ozone and particulate concentrations, which can also be influenced by local weather conditions and topography.

The likelihood or severity of environmental and health impacts in a local area is usually determined by the concentration of pollutants in the air. This is why ambient air quality standards established by local and regional governments are often set in terms of the concentrations of these pollutants.


Our approach

The majority of emissions of COx and NOx from IRBIS PROJECT GROUP’s operations come from burning of gasoline and diesel of vehicles used by our staff during services providing.

We are decreasing the emission of COx and NOx by implementing of methane and propane fueling systems on vehicles and diesel generators


Our performance

In 2013, our emissions to air was decreased on 20%.
